One of my friend on the trip is from Germany. Is there any special permits and charges for foreigners.
Foreigners are required to obtain inner line permit to visit Pangong, Nubra, Tso Moriri or other restricted area. The same may be obtained from the DC Office located in Leh town. It will cost approx Rs.500/- for 5 Days including environment and wildlife fee. Indians are not required to obtain inner line permits.

How should I choose a tour? What is that I need to make sure of. Too many options available, I am not able to decide.
You may select the tour depending upon your date of travel, number of days and mode of travel.
If you are looking for group departure for bike trips then make sure that you are staying back at the places mentioned in the itinerary(Important places to stay is Hunder/Diskit in Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake).
Back up vehicle with mechanic should be there to carry your luggage, extra fuel and bike in case of break down.

Thank Laviral, how many days does it take to get these permits? If we go for a planned trip these permits would be included in the price?
Same day you get the permit. The office is open between 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM. The cost of permit is not included for foreigners. If you are going for a planned trip then your trip planner may arrange for the permit in advance post trip bookings.

What problem can I face if I am planning to ride by myself without going with any group?
You should be able to fix the basic of bikes if in case you are not joining group. Chain/Clutch/Break wires are very common break downs + you need to carry and calculate your fuel and mileage of the bike. Nubra to Pangong is not advisable Solo.

I want to go completely off beat, can you suggest a route which is safe, food/fuel are easy to find , yet untouristy?
You may opt for Srinagar-Kargil-Leh route. You may stay at Lamayuru or villages in Sham Valley instead of Kargil.

I want to do Srinagar to Manali trip listed on Trodly but want one extra day in Leh for exploring town. Is that possible?
You may have enough time to explore Leh when you ride back from Pangong. It's 04 Hours ride from Pangong to Leh. We may start early from Pangong to explore Leh town, Leh Market, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace etc...You may have an additional days at Srinagar or Manali.

well am not so sure , but i have heard that theres a lot of robberies happening in many places ! ii mean the riders are being robed ! is that the reason why you have asked me to reach the destinations before 4.00 PM ! is there any places on the way that i have to be more careful???
You need to estimate breakdown time and spent little time to explore/experience the everyday destination where you are staying back till you reach Leh. Now you have an option to cargo your bikes from Leh to your hometown.

Laviral
Rohit
Can we do some water sports there in any lake(Tsomoriri, pangong, etc) or rivers?

I am planning a ride in the month of June - 3rd week. Would that be a good time to start from Manali?
3rd Week is the good time from Manali to Leh if all the 5 high passes opens up. On a safer side, keep it for last week of June.

Laviral
Sapna
So you mean during those months, travelling with 2 year old is safe?
Kids from different cities travel to Leh. Every individual immunity is different. Taking a rest to get acclimatize is the best option when coming by flight in the high altitude. In case of exigencies medical facilities are available in the Leh city.

Laviral
Raghu
My biggest worry is self confidence. I have used bike for last 4 years in city. But I am not sure if I would be able to ride a bullet on those bad ladakh roads. Any suggestions?
The good part is that you already got a riding experince of 4 years in a city. You will be trained while doing the trail run before starting the ride to Ladakh. Also, you will be escorted by the Road Captain and fully supported Back up vehicle.

Can I take my pulsar 150 to laddhak
Yes, you can take your Pulsar 150CC!

Laviral
Sapna
So proper acclimatisation and not rushing is important. Noted. Just one more thing, some essential things/medicines that I should carry? I was suggested to keep baby hydrated and not to force feed if baby doesn't want to
Hydration is the important part throughout your journey. We advise to take Diamox tablet a day before taking a flight to Leh. You may consult pediatrician for medicines related to kids :)

Laviral
Supreet
Which place is a must- visit and another which is just over-hyped in Leh ladakh?
Sham Valley, Indus Valley, Nubra Valley and Pangong Lake are few of the must visit plces. All the places in Ladakh are worth visiting depending upon the time you have in hand, and not over hyped except the Magnetic Hill :)

Laviral
Kiku
Will pulsar 150 be ok to ride in Laddhak with? I mean, will it be too hectic or spraining?
Royal Enfield and Avenger is best and comfortable choice for riding on this terrain. Any 150CC+ bike is good for Leh Ladkah Ride. Pulsar will be little exhaustive.
